Bearings and Seals

I need to purchase bearings and seals for everything from the transmission out thru the final drive to the wheels. Is it worth the trouble to try the local auto parts store before I go to the Case dealer? Local auto parts would seem cheaper, I just don"t know how standard the sizes are. I am working on a "47 Farmall A
 
virtually all bearings and seals are off the shelf standard parts.
DO not use china parts, they will have short life.
Always buy Heavy duty if you can.

Ron, that's one of the few things you've ever posted that wasn't self-serving and makes sense to boot!

HOWEVER, good luck finding ANY parts nowadays that aren't from "he Land of Almost Right"!
 
I am almost always able to get what I need at the local branch of a bearing and seal company. And the savings can be very big. just take the old ones and they can ID them by number or by measuring.
