BELT PULLEY SPEED

The pulley is driven inside the trans from the an input shaft gear. The entire trans is "reduced" in speed when the TA is in reduction. (the exception to this is the IPTO system which is driven by a separate drive shaft. I do not think it hurts the tractor to use it in TA reduction, it just makes the speed wrong and that can wreck driven equipment and overload belts. Flat belt driven equipment was being phased out at the same time modern tractors were becoming more sophisticated in drive train and power management. JimN
