The pulley itself will fit both. The cast iron housing that bolts on top of the transmission is a different size between the H and M.

Yeah, there's at least 3 different diameters of pulleys, all interchangeable at the same drive flange where the pulley(s) mount to the flange on the drive shaft from each drive mechanism which is different in each tractor model. To drive our Gehl silo filler blower faster back in the early 1950's we used to use the larger M/W-6 pulley on our H tractor or a W-9 pulley on the W-6 to get greater belt speed which seemed to give the blower a lot more capacity, especially on the taller silos. Belt speed on International built tractors wasn't especially fast in those days compared to most other makes unless you set the throttle govenor stop higher to overspeed the engine. (which wasn't reccommended) True, it made the tractor work harder, but the increased speed stepped up the capacity so much we didn't have to "crowd" the blower to keep up with the chopper's output in the field. Both the H and W-6 were "souped up" a little too.
