Instead of us going through 7000 possibilities, why don't you find something and ask about that one specifically? Then, if 19 people tell you not to do it and one tells you otherwise, listen to the 19.

i have a budget of 3000 dollars. a little mechanic knowledge. and a bunch of tools. means to haul one and places to store it.

I want one to plow my garden, plow snow, brush hog, haul firewood, and haul water to the garden.

I'm looking for one with live hydraulics, live pto, and power steering.

45-65 horsepower. 3 point hitch. any brand. as long as it runs and has my needs I will look at it.

Ford 5000-5610 or similar. Live hydraulics, and true live pto. Good parts availability in the aftermarket. I agree with No SOS.

Hmmm. Such a warm welcome on the other forum. Not real sure what your game plan is. View attachment 134614View attachment 134615

Please, I’m not being like that any more.

A few years ago my brother hauled home a non-running Cockshutt 540 with a loader. I thought, "Oh no, another 40 HP project tractor to add to the pile". But all it needed was a condenser (I put in a carb kit while we were at it), and it's quickly become my favourite tractor by a looooobg margin. Starts instantly in even the coldest winter weather. Purrs like a kitten. Fully independent PTO and fully independent three-point (unlike almost every other tractor of the era). Heavily built in all the areas where it counts, but still small enough to be a nimble loader tractor. Fingertip power steering. I really love that little Cockshutt. I like many of our tractors: our Ford 5000, 6600, Fordson majors (I have three), W6, Deere 2120, Massey 44s & 555, Allis 180, Ford 2N, Kubota 4150, and our Case 530 & 630. But not to the same degree I love that little Cockshutt 540. Those 540's are available all the time around here for very cheap. Just one suggestion: If looking at one, look for one of the later ones with power steering (the earlier ones didn't have power steering. Still good tractors, but power steering is nice to have).

Who are the children on this forum? He’s a 13 year old kid. That’s what kids do they ask questions. That’s how they learn stuff. But I’m not surprised by some of these comments, or the ones who posted them. Grown men picking on a little boy. What a joke.

Listen this is a public forum. I’ve been larking around here since 2015-16. I’ve used this for so much info. I’ve also seen a ton of people come and go. Mostly because of all the nnalert. I get on here several times daily, but every evening I wind down scrolling through all of it. About all the posting I do is calling some of the bullies out. And that they are. I’ve witnessed them bagger an older member, several younger members for asking about getting more power, hunter, and now a young guy for asking what tractor starts best. Don’t let a bunch of assholes run u off because their lives are so miserable they take it out on everyone one else.
Oh and by the way buy a blue tractor there the best!!
