Hi Everyone,

I"m fuming mad right now, because I was just informed that someone or a group of someones stole the radiator off my C Allis Chalmers that I used to mow my mom and dads old house. It angers me to know end that someone would have so little respect for other peoples property for a couple bucks worth of brass. It doesn"t end their, though. They stole the radiator and the emblem and destroyed the hood on the old mercedes I had and tried to get the radiator out of the MG Midget that dad had. I"m suprised that they didn"t get the radiator out of the 57 Chevy. My brother discoverd this and called the law, so we"ll see what happens. If anyone has someone for the western Ky area try to sell them a radiator for a C Allis, let me know. This one was about 3 years old. I bought it new as the old one was bad. They actually stole the old radiator, too as it was out behind the shed. So protect your tractors and your other toys.

Stuart, Here in the central part of the state they are stealing the three foot of copper pipe between the A/C unit and the house while people are at work in broad daylight.

Drug money. I'ts been going on for a long time here in PA. Got my welding leads ripped off the truck while at a motel room on a road job. Goes right to the scrap yard for quick money. Doug N

they were in an abandoned steel mil here, stealing wire off the ladle crane, but the hot rails were still hot, and POOF! 480v!

Hi Everyone,

Well they tried to get the 57 Chevy radiator and one out of an old ford truck that we had. They cut the lines and tried to pry it out, but didn't get it. I wonder how they would feel if someone went and stole the radiators out of their car or truck or just cut the lines....

Up my way in Maine there is a high school kid been driving around and stealing old cast iron farm equipment. Christ, I had two mccormick dearing no.7 mowers and a big 6 mower that I had bought to restore and they disapiered one night when I went off to a tractor show. He even took a couple of pry bars that I had. Now doing that is very very cheap.
I went to the cops about it but he and his entire family had been denieing it. I am ------. I am down by $1500 dollars in the three mowers. I want him hauled off.

here they arerequiring id in indpls.they are stealing the who ac units from houses and wire from construction sites. One fool got fried trying to steal from high tension towers somehow.I;m surprised my equipment sitting where it does is still in one piece. What gets me is the tools and stuff. They are stealing so much stufF LIKE TOOLS,CDS,FISHING TACKLE, etc, they got me for $2400-3000k from my pickup and the pickup. They found it withboth side windows broke and they left stuff from other people they ripped off during their spree which according to my speedometer was 72 miles. i Checked pawnshops, flea markets and yardsales. I just like to know where all of this stuff is going. They have got to be gett ing over run with the stuff.

I just re wired a turkey house for a nieghbor because someone stole the copper out of it. Cost him about $1000. Theives probally got about $150 for the copper. He said that they should have just stole his air compressor. It would have been worth about the same to them, but just would've cost him about $200.

Got another one for ya: Here in SW MO, some people are stealing (in broad daylight in parking lots) catalytic converters off cars and trucks and selling the platinum out of the converters. Apparently using a battery operated saws_all. TV says they can remove one in about 60 seconds. Whew....what's next?.......RP

The Tweekers here come out like Cockroaches @ night. they drive around on bicycles pulling a kiddy cart and look worse than any cockroach i have ever seen.
Our problem is as big as ever around here.

"LIKE TOOLS,CDS,FISHING TACKLE, "

Most of that stuff gets traded for Crack or Meth.. I never knew how messed-up that stuff makes a person.. I know a guy that took in his crack-head uncle. Gives him a place to stay, food, clothes, beer, etc.. Even at that, if the guy turns his back on the junkie, he will grab stuff from the house, steal one of his cars, and stay gone until the guy hunts him down.. But, he keeps letting him come back, like a fool...

The drug/theft thing is only going to get worse. Here, the jails are so overcrowded, that they are releasing anyone that is not violent.. Crooks know they will never serve a day for their crimes..

We have a terrible time with crooks stealing metal from the back dock of our business. The only folks that I get madder at are the ones that say We deserved to get it stolen since it was not locked up... That makes my blood boil !!!

I had a fake alarm light that flashed a little red like that had fooled some mechanics. But eveidently they took the time to notice it was fake. rocking and touching truck when they went by. No alarm going off so they took it one noght after i had been home 2 hours from my semi run. But the crack dealers and such have to have mountains of this stuff. We nee the police to gt serious about tracking this property down and get it back to it's owner. I had marked a lot of my stuff with allis orange because they are not as likely to realize it is an id mark and grind it off.But as long as they have police auctions and the system rationalizes the insurance pays for it, then we'll never see our property again.
they left an aluminum bat in there and other things they had handled but the cops say since some is dusty you wont get a print. they did get a print off of a pop bottle they had opened.

here in indiana there is breakins and people stealing wiring out of buildings and copper tubing from propane tanks , the scrap yard in our area won,t buy any copper or brass unless they colect your name and adress plus driver license # and so on. in indiana its the law now. might be a good law for a change.
