Well I have to apologize again about the “sneaky finish” cheat I accused you of in an earlier thread on this tractor. I am sure this hurts a bit, at least it’s not some modern vehicle that almost requires removal of the engine to pull the oil pan. Previous member rustred may have been a belligerent egotistical maniac in the typed word but some of his thoughts on avoiding engine rebuilding shortcuts did warrant some attention. Hopefully Elmer, who is a good ole Kansas boy can help you out.

Without detailed checking it might be possible. Given the sheared gear, visible rusting, and condition of the engine when this started, it seems only prudent to inspect the entire pump before chasing a gear.

Anyone who deals with Oliver/Cletrac HG42/OC3 crawlers should be able to source an oil pump. Heck, we probably have one on a shelf or have scrapped a couple without even knowing it. Here are a couple sites:

Hercules engine. Just Google Hercules Engine Parts and several suppliers come up. Used and NOS parts. I think that engine was used in Cletrac crawlers also so maybe even Zimmerman Cletrac parts.
