Which model? Fixed or folding blade or multitool? I carry folding in a front pants pocket. Tried carrying one in the leg side slot pocket, lost the knife while doing tractor work.
BTW, I went to the leatheman website. They offer free sharpening for life when the knife is sent to them. There website shows a knife being sharpened on a belt sander__, That's about the best way to ruin a good knife.

How do you folks that wear bibs carrie your Leatherman knives
I never carried a knife until a few years ago. I found a couple of Dad's knifes, then after my Brother died I have a couple of his. I carry one of these everyday. I don't know how I got along so log without one. I use a knife almost every day. Stan

I have a wave +. Also feel naked without it. I wear jeans though. During winter I wear Carhartt bibs and still leave it on my jeans belt. Just reach inside and grab it.

Funny. I have been using a 1 inch belt belt sander for 20 years as a butcher to sharpen my knives and never new I was wrecking them. I guess that is why I had to buy new ones once a year.

I have several multitools, including a Leatherman. But I went back to the basics on the farm and carry a pair of CeeTee combination side cutting pliers (farmer pliers) and a Bench Made jack knife with a clip in the right leg divided pliers pocket that most all bibs have. Carhartt has an additional pocket on the left leg that I carry a small flash light. At my age the flashlight seems to be the most used tool.

I carry the smallest Swis Army Knife. It’s on my key chain. If it needs more repair then my knife I do my best to do it in my shop.

For that purpose you are correct. You want a miniature saw-tooth edge to easier cut tendons, and gristle as well as raw meat. In your trade it's completely different than, say wood carving where a very sharp smooth edge is necessary. That website shows a man sharpening a pocket knife on a belt-sander.
This relates to sharpening a high quality folding or straight knife blade, which is much thinner than your butcher shop straight knives.
