big 500 hyd pump

Checked out my incredibly slow hyd pump on my 500 today and it's in pretty bad shape. Is this pump special to a 500 or do others use this pump also? Any time I need a part for this tractor it gets very frustrating.

Those pumps are bullet proof. Any pump off a chain drive will work, earliest SC's to the last 930 chain drives.

agree with you John,,as long as some one doesn't shim pressure too much splits them internally, we had one of our shop guy's shim ours back to original specs and henever put a guage on it just shimmed it,,, with a washer she was toast cnt

That's great news, that just made my day. I've been kinda going through this thing fixing brakes, leaks, gen, steering, finally thought I was done and then this. Trying to get all these little things done before I tear the motor apart.

Most likely i do have a good used hydraulic pump off 800 for [email protected]

The 800 pump will not work. Like John posted, it needs to be from a chain drive tractor.

You are right DKase sorry for the wrong information after checking in both parts manual pump off the 800 is only 12 gallons pump whereas in the 500 they have two model one being a 20 gallons pump and the other one a 15 gallons pump. Apologize for this wrong information. jc

Chain drive pumps turn in the opposite direction of gear tractor pumps.
