looking for info on building a big bore oliver 88 motor with 4 3/8 0r 4 1/2 bore do i hard block right to the top of the block or part way.

do i use stright sleeves or tapered sleeves. any help would would be help full

You pull the old sleaves out and have the block counter bored to take the larger sleaves(Darton sleaves).4 1/2-4 3/4 bores are fairly easy to get. Also Have the crank offset ground to 4 1/4 inch, with 4.1/2x4.1/4 you will have 405 cubic inches.

You can run 4-3/8 bore with no hard block if you use good sleeves. You can call me if you want cell 812-707-9336 Keith if no answer level message and ill call you back

Darton will make the sleeves to the size you want.Call them, they will ask you for the specs and go from there. Talk to your Machine shop first then call Dartons #toll free 1-888-877-8484
