Yep, a smaller one sniffing around(200pds est.) He was checking out my 8N-my fluids-took the dog food tub off the porch, put teeth marks in garbage cans-Huckelberry's in Mts. not so good this year-but fruit trees going strong. The dog lets us know when he's round(going to dump today) they are usually very quiet good neighbors. unlike the Cougars. Upper Reaches of Columbia River.

If your in the upper reaches of the Columbia River, that is some of the most breahtaking country in the U.S. Bought ta tractor from a fellow in Davenport Wa., then had a delivery over in Lake Chelan, really nice up and down the Columbia River valley there.

Ya must have had a younger one than Dad shot when I was a kid. That was some nasty stuff. Haven't seen any around here this year. Wife is on the road all the time, she's seen one or two.

I agree with Mike - father-in-law gave us some cuts last fall. Marinated one of the steaks (over 1"). Awesome. Roast was only ok, but I'm not a big roast fan. The cut you want is the tenderloin! I would compare that to the finest examples of any meat you can find.

Looks like we got a cougar here in west central Indiana now. One got loose from a big cat rescue place 15 miles from here last fall, they never caught it. Cougars and bears were cleaned out back in the 1800s around here.
