Paul,

The 801 came factory with a 172 cubic inch motor, a 621 should have a 134 cubic inch motor. Others can tell you if it would bolt up, but probably not what you are looking for at any rate.

YES but, repowering usually entails going UP in horsepower, NOT down. 172cid & 134cid engines are a direct swap.

Your tractor, your wallet, your call.

NOT THAT CONCERNED ABOUT LOSS OF HORSE POWER. JUST NEED IT FOR BRUSH HOGGING. IF ENGINE IS CHEAP ENOUGH. I CAN BOLT THIS UP AND GET BRUSH HOGGING AGAIN. JUST DID NOT WANT TO GET IT AND FIND OUT LATER ITS NOT GONNA WORK.

Paul it will fit with some changes

1. Air cleaner
2. Carberator and governer linkage(important)
3. Need six volt battery box for stock air
cleaner to fit right
4. Need to plug fuel fitting in front part
of fuel tank
5. Make sure spline on tranmission matches
clutch disk
6. Gas tank mounts are different
7. Different fuel line
8. Muffler and exhaust might may have to be
ghanged ??????

GOOD LUCK ---MAY HAVE FORGOT SOMTHING
