those aren't tractors they are race rigs. no tractor that weighs 5-7k ever pulled anything 12mph heavier than a wagon. with wheels on it. have $ ( & time, farmers only i guess?) or stay home. the end is near for this game. sad but true. I go to 2 pulls per year, only ones i can afford. drive the tractor 38miles one way to one & rent a trailer 60 miles to the other. stock tractor. nobody to pull against but i do it anyhow cuz theres usually more guys cheering for me than the big pockets. anyone can win with that. but i am the exception. most in my shoes that love the game just stay away cuz nobody to pull against. then you are a nobody there cuz your old truck is ugly & you only have a stock machine so an outcast. thats how people are encouraged to keep the sport alive where i pull 8,) then if you do win they get mad & pout like 12yr old school girls. even if someone cheers for you they get pissy. any suggestions? its really the same for car races even drags i try to do that once a yr but its the same way there. circle track is the same it seems they are all dying. no $ or time (always working to survive) to compete. less participation & therefore less spectators every yr. then what?

what in the world? I guess the rest of us are supposed to feel sorry for you, I attend the ones around me and pull anything from "hay rake" to super stock with two turbos. It has always been tractor pulling, whether that is 3mph or 25 mph depends totally on the owner of the tractor. As for your stock tractor maybe you should go pull at one of the 3 mph classes give you someone to pull against.

3237 Old Ky. Hwy 52 Richmond Ky 6 miles east of I 75 exit 96A go around bypass to hwy 52 east 2miles fair grounds on left

4 hooks per tractor per day 1hook per class

just stating the sad fact that many of the motorsports are dying, & around here tractor pulling especially. nothing to feel sorry for just a sad fact due to less & less farmers & a smaller middle class. poor folks cant do it & rich folks dont, unless they happen to be a farmer or from a farm family. the spectators are fading even faster due to less farm & rural folks.

Thanks Cecil
Gonna try to make it having clutch issues
It will be this old girls maiden voyage may end up showing
everyone the inside the motor lol

Seems to me that the fact that this pull has been broken down into a two day event would imply that the sport is flourishing! The class differences bluegrass is offering gives a level playing field to a wide variety of pullers, from stock to ??? Additionally, I proudly pull with CKAP, and they are averaging 150 hooks per pull. The club appears to be growing to me. I do agree it would be nice to find an incentive to get more fans in attendance.

I guess you should just stay home. Or maybe start your own club? Theres an idea - Im sure it would have a lot of your fans cheering you on. Tractor pulling today "is what it is" and griping about it achieves a whole lot of nothing.
