did like you said and goes to full charge-made sure has good ground,all wires look good-it's a brand new regulator-now what? thank you for your help,again.

Bad regulator. (Assuming it's properly grounded.)

thank you bob,guess i'll try another new reg-see what happens.and thanks again for your help-about the third tractor you have helped me get running-well, this one not cured yet but will be.
