Bolts for Front Wheel Weights

Got a set of front wheel weights for my 2424 recently and ready to install them. Looking at the rims, it seems they have square holes, so I was thinking they were designed for carriage bolts. But my parts manual says hex head cap screws, 1/2 X 2. What should I use?

Thanks,
Tim

I'm with Delta I also hate carriage bolts they in variably get out of the square hole that is supposed to hold them and turn till you either cut them off with a grinder or torch. For rear wheel weights I use old brake pads for the heads and nuts so they are accessible to tighten or remove.
