Could someone post a picture of this "boom pole"? I have never seen or heard of one before, but I would like to know what they do and what they look like. Thanks

boom pole

Seen some writing on this down below. But not sure about it still. Does it hook on front of tractor? How does it lift. ..

That one sure does look stout. Granddad used to have a old John Deere Boom Pole. Had been racked at some point, still brought good money at graddads equip. auction.

You can use it like a small crane. Most guys will use a loader bucket to lift stuff if they have one available. A boom pole won't lift as high and usually won't carry as much weight, but it's a lot better than using your back.

Most I've seen are like the picture John posted, mounted on the tractor's 3pt hitch. The one Chances posted looks like it goes on a forklift.

I use mine to load logs on a trailer and to move V8 engines around. Anything that is heavy and won't lift the front of the tractor. Years ago we used one with a small log extension on one to lift log rafters onto a shed roof.
