Buda engine

Anybody know what model this engine is? Only plate I can find is on the back and says 129 and below it 69? Its a 6 cylinder. Scrap guy is coming and if the engine is worth anything, I will have them cut it out.

As clean as that engine looks I would pull it. If its not stuck there is somebody out there looking for one.

The plate is in bad shape but I looked again and I think it says 63.

The problem is finding that somebody. I already posted this on the tractor board a few days ago and no luck there.

Its ashame to scrap it there is somebody out there looking for one if you could just find them.

I would guess that it's either a 230 or 262 cubic inch Buda. Both should bolt up to many AC machines. I wish it was here, in MD, but the shipping would be a little high, LOL. Hope someone recognizes it. If I were in your situation, I would put it on craigs list first, and if that didn't sell it, take it to a local consignment sale. Good luck.

That is not a 230 or 262. I belive it could be a 279. I would save it and try an sell it here in the classified section or on ebay. Even if you get a couple hunderd bucks for it is still better than the 5 dollars you would get for it in scrap. You can always get rid of it if you cant sell it. Just my 2 cents worth. Matt

The injector pump is on the wrong side for either a 230 or 262. I searched buda dieselight and found a post on smokestak forum that says the engine is a 6DG317.
