My bx2200 still has the original starter, as it has 650 hours. My question is, has anyone had a starter get stuck at this many hours, and does anyone know about any replacements available for this tractor. Last time I looked for an electric fuel shut off I couldn’t find anything.

Thanks again
Ry

P.S does anyone know how to put the steering cilnder back in its brackets? Popped it out mowing the ditch.

Look at Messicks Website, https://messicks.com/ it appears that they have both the fuel pump and starter in stock. As to the steering cylinder, if it is out and both of the retainer plates are still in position, remove one of the plates, put the cylinder back in position and reinstall the plate. After you get everything back in position, check the bolts periodically to make sure they stay tight. The only problem you may have is if either of the retaining plates are bent, if they are you may need to remove the tie rod ends, remove the plates, straighten them, and then reassemble

The bolts on the right hand side were not tight at all. Got them off by hand. The brackets, again the right hand side is bent.

Not sure what you mean by stuck

Check the mounting plate to make sure it isn’t bent

If not engaging or sometimes engaging add a horn relay in the starter circuit. The safety switches build up enough corrosion to drop the voltage/current just enough to make you think it’s ok but won’t let the starter selinid fully engage and start the engine

The starter is a denso and parts are available.
