Calling Grandpa Love

Just wondering if you still have that MF loader backhoe? How is it doing any problems so far? I'm fixing to retire and seriously thinking about getting me something along those lines with a grapple on the loader to clean up around my place and help my old a$$ with lifting and things like that. Thanks.

Can't help with the Massey, but I absolutely love my Kubota. Got my 2015 used with everything you see w/500hrs on it 2 1/2 years ago for about the same money Grandpa paid for the loader and backhoe new. Don't be afraid of used. I see your near Memphis. You might see if you can get a hold of jm. He has a lot of used Kubotas.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I'm going to go look at Kubota there's a dealer about 5 miles from me now. I'm not afraid of used heck I've never bought anything brand new except a riding lawn mower! Are the loader and backhoe easy to take off and put on?

Getting close to 200 hours on the Massey. We have used it every day this week around here, tearing out an old fence and overgrown bushes, digging stumps , spreading gravel, and unloading a truck load of chain link fencing. Best money we spent on a tractor. We have never bought a brand new vehicle...... unless you count the Massey 🤣

Massey back hoe can be removed in a couple minutes. No 3 point components have to be removed to hook up the backhoe...... unlike some other brands

I only do it once a year when I convert to the leaf collector so coming up on my 3rd time in a couple of weeks. It takes me about an hour (I'm 70 and in no rush) of easy work. The loader is very fast. The backhoe slightly more involved but both are just 2 pins and hydraulic couplers. Remembering how to put the 3 pt. hitch back on takes as long as removing the backhoe and is part of that hour. My neighbor has the same tractor without the backhoe and mows with the loader on about 1/2 the time. If you get one and want a few tip on backhoe storage when off, message me. I got mine off Facebook Marketplace.

That's a nice feature. Time wise, you could probably take mine off as fast as yours (wait till your 70). I find putting it back on takes a little longer after it has set for a couple of months and settled into a different position. I'm slowly perfecting how I store it to make it easier, but only doing it once a year lengthens the learning curve. If I only had it off for a day or two, it would go much quicker. My biggest regret is not getting something like this 20 years ago. Question: Do you have to reconnect a line in the back after the hoe is removed for the hydraulics to work?

Looking at this picture closer, I'm curious where your 3 point arms are hidden and how they don't interfere with something going up and down. My arms extend a ways beyond the rear wheels.

Don't forget to at least check with jm (Dover TN). I've bought a couple of used Kubota implements from him and couldn't be happier.
