I would choose Popinjohn in NY. Mike is as good as they come. He has a much quicker turn around time than the others and will much cheaper.

Dave, I've used Popin' John and he did a great job, very friendly too. Heard the other day that Roy's Magneto in Mt. Pleasant does an excellent job as well. Where are you?

I am right in Mt. Pleasant. Do it as a hobby. Just finished my own 18 on my 37 A. You are welcome to come start it and hear it run and idle. I don't do modifications but will restore it to new condition. Will put it on my tractor for you to test before you pay. Sometimes the problem isn't the carb. Might even save you some money as the call to help diagnose may prove the problem is elsewhere. Price depends on condition and parts needed. Don't see where you can go wrong and in driving distance too. I retire in 6 mos and plan to do some to support my un-social insecurity. My e-mail is open as are my ears , mind and phone.
