Putting new manifold gaskets on the 1030 and the parts man says they don't show the rings that go between the manifold and the head.Only show them for the Intake ports. Did they improve the gasket and eliminate these rings on the exhaust ports? Do I need to find a different parts guy? Thanks for any help!

Not sure about the Diesels, the gas 730's and 800's have "ferrules" on both the exhaust and intake ports. Straight "pipe" for 00 series, fancy ones for the 30 series.

I looked at parts book too an 1030 only show fereules only on intake. Note i just got 4 ex gaskets for my 301 830 an they do have fereoles but cost 50.00 for those gaskets !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all who replied. Looks like this was a bit of a head scratcher. The first tractor I ever owned was a '67' 830 diesel and it had the rings on Intake and Exhaust. When I took manifolds off of 1030 it also had the rings in all ports. Heads are milled to accept as are both manifolds. This prompted the question after parts man said "not required on Exhaust Manifold". Thanks again to all who replied!

Since manifold an head have grove could parts book have missed listing them?????? I would think they should be in there.
