Case 1030 value

I am trying to figure out if I am making a good decision or not. I am thinking about trading my 1967 Case 1030 for a 1998 Dodge Ram 4x4. I know the value of the truck, but not the value of my tractor. Does anyone know what my tractor would be worth? It runs strong with no problems.

You have given us very little information on the CASE, but I suppose it's worth $4,000+...?

The CASE will be around long after the pickup is gone.

I would not trade my 1030 for a 2008 Ram 4X4.

I would keep the 1030, but I have no need for a tractor that big. I have another tractor that is no where near as big and I need another vehicle. I hate to see it go, but I would rather have something I can use than something sitting in my yard that I don't need.

My 1030 is sitting back at my farm in ND. I don't really need that much HP either, but it makes an excellent lawn tractor, hooked up to an old surflex it is great for making fire breaks. It pulls the boys pickups out of the mud, discs the weeds between the tree rows, plants wildlife crops, and it is simple, tough, reliable, economical and loud. Everything I want in a machine. Pickups come and go, but a tractor like that can serve the rest of your life.

I would venture to say that a good running 1030 would bring between 4500 and 5500. I hope it goes to a good home. Don

I would trade it for a 2008 ram and then I would sell the 08 and buy a 98 and a 1030 and still have enough money to buy a new gun!!!

Ok wildonewest, you have a plan. But this tractor has been part of my life since it was new I was 8. I have spent a lot of time on it. On its radio I heard about the fall of Siagon, Elvis death, Khal shooting the US Marahals in Medina, when the Army recruiter came to see me I was on it, ect... When I die it is going to one of my friends, the son of the dealer that sold it to my uncle. He has plenty of time on it also.
