I have a 580B backhoe with mechanical transmission (clutch) and shifter. I don't have manuals. Does the clutch have an adjustment proceedure? It wants to not move at times or stop moving on an incline until I increase RPMs
to get it moving again. It pushes good and spins both wheeles when the clutch is hooked up good.

I'm not sure which model of 580 but I've heard there was one model that had some odd transmission issues. Maybe Case has a good fix for it now?
 
The clutch control is a mechanical linkage with levers rods and return spring,several of the joints have grease nipples,all of the linkage needs to be free and lubericated,there is adjustment on the rods,go to the link below,it will take you to the online Case parts site where you can look up the parts.
