My dad's Case 600 Combine came out of retirement to take on a 45 acre oat field. It took three days, two new belts, and we had to reattach the radiator neck three times but we won.The Co-op said they have not seen oats this clean in 30 years.

What size engine did the 600 have, how fast could you travel. How big is the hopper. What was your yield. No combine experience or knowledge, just lots of ???? Great looking machine. gobble

188 Gas, or Diesel. Most were the gas as they were very economical. 40" machine straight thru. Headers were available from 10' to 13'. Great machine, as most of the competition were 28" or 32" machines.

just have to add that sure looks like a low houred machine and my guess is she has a original rubber as well as reel bats the Scourclean unit is a handy option too, the coop here has made many comments to me on the clean grain that the Case machines produce ( sorry to those of you who say the old case machines were not that good, in small grains I will go up against any out there), to add to Johns post the 600/660 had a 40 bushel bin and just a guess but those oats look to be in the 50 bushel per acre range or better, the way the straw looks bet they had good weight too, I would have liked to been watching and takeing pics and movies for you too thanks again for posting cnt

Case1570, I have a 660 Case combine that I did wheat with in 2011. Our co-op said the same thing, " I haven't seen that clean of grain in the twenty years I have been here". He then asked what combine I used, after I told him, he just smiled and said "really?" That is a great looking 600 you have there by the way. :)

Thanks for the nice comments. The 600 has a gas engine. My dad and other WI case dealers sure sold a lot of them. He had the field just about done when he called and said I think it is your turn to run the old girl. I got there to find he had just run 4 or 5 burdock plants through it and plugged it. All he said was this is where you start.....let me know when you got it cleaned out. Oh the school of hard knocks!
Thanks!

Great pics. of the 600. We too here in Central NY as CASE Dealers also sold the heck out of the CASE Combines, especially the 600s and 660s.
I couldn;t help but notice the similarities between you first pic, and my view of our family farm, Clinton Camp. The silos and barns are a bit diff., but the landscape in the background is amazingly the same. Here's a pic. I took Sun., the hills to the right of your pic, are the same here also. If my pic. was taken in Aug., Your 600 would have pasted rite into it.

A 660 with a Scour Kleen and a cab. He remembers it well. Do you still have it? My dad also said he thought he saw a Case 1200 by your place the other day???

Brian your dad was partly right, the 660 had a cab, but no scourkleen. We don't have it anymore, wish that we did. It was traded on a gleaner, that was a big mistake, and that was traded for a TR86, that is what we are still using. The tractor your dad saw is a 1470, one of my brothers future projects
