Hi all, new tot he forums. Looking at buying a Case 630
COM Diesel. Guy selling will take $2200 cash. Starts easy
and drives well, but when you engage the direct drive it
starts speeding up and going faster and faster until its at
full throttle or high rpms is what Im told. When you just use
the foot pedal and not the direct drive it works fine. The guy
says he thinks it might be the direct drive plate maybe?
Other than that the tractor is in decent condition, runs
good, drives well, hydraulics are a bit slow when first
started but speed up, probably need a fluid change all
around. Anyways, my question is it a good buy and how
hard it it to fix a direct drive that keeps speeding up rather
than setting the speed?
Any input is appreciated, mainly looking for a baking tractor
and this guy is right down the road from me.
