Case 801 lp

I know a guy that has a Case 801 lp serial number 81957554. My question is how rare is this tractor. It looks like it is factory lp. with a wide front. I am just curious. I wouldn't think there would be many lp tractors out there.

I don't know the LP production numbers,but most 801s were COM diesels.

central illinois;801 designates a 800 diesel. the 819 prefix of the serial # designates a 1962 730 or 830.you don't see many of these in lp here in illinois.ind.38

We don't have alot of lp around us (n.IL)but I know of 2 800 lps less than 10 miles from me, neither are in collections. That said, don't think I've ever seen any others.

If I ever get a chance I will get a photo of it. It is a rare tractor around here. Now there is mostly Case IH or John Deere but years ago the small town I live near had a Case dealership and I assume it came from there. However the lp would make it ever more rare around here. It is a neat looking older tractor.
