Dear guys
After taking your advice I modified my gear puller to fit and with it and heat the crank shaft gear came.
Now the number 1 piston is on TDC and the D on the fly wheel is all allied up but the location of the Woodruff key and the dots on the timing gear are way off as they were before so what is the fix to get it back in time? Thanks matt

Sounds like you have the front of the engine apart. You would need to align the dot of the camshaft with the dot on the crankshaft. I am not familiar with the DC so I'm not sure what is there, but most engines have the marks pointing at each other. Maybe someone out there has more info on it. ---Derrol in Texas---
