Am I correct in saying that the Case 900 was built in 57 and the 700 and 800s weren't built until 58 even tho they have the same tin work? That would kick any 700 or 800 out of the running for anything other that div 5 while the 900 could run all classes?

some 700's were built in 57 but sold in the 58 model year so natpa won't allow them even though a super 400 is mechanically the same tractor as a 700, I asked and got told no, yet they grand father in 30 series deeres, a good example of of natpa's bs.

That was going to be my next question! I read in the 150 years of J I Case book that the 700 was introduced on 57. A friend of mine has been trying to find a decent 400 here to pull with for quite some time with no luck. I saw a 900 in Lincoln pulling div III i think and we thought maybe we could go with the 700 becasue it was just a re-tinned 400. Guess that shoots that idea! Better keep looking for that 400 I guess! Thanks

I would like to do a Case with around 530ci and want to use the 700 sheet metal, maybe I will yet and just forget about natpa, not real fond of some of their rules anyway, mainly the ones dealing with aftermarket heads and manifolds.
