hello , i bought a older rubber tired drill , ground driven style. inside the door lids you can see where there used to be charts but there gone. can anyone tell me what i need to set this at for 200# per acre for oats and 20# per acre timmothy. thanks

I will look at mine and see if the chart is still in there, I know the press drill I bought but haven't got home yet does have it. Even at 32#/bu don't you think 6.25 bu/acre is a little heavy? We usually plant 3bu/acre.

thats just what the feed store said to plant. using the oats for a cover crop but will combine them. mixing half timmothy and half alfalfa for hay crop

they tell us that here to but they sell the seed and where I farm we usally don't want that much seed when doing hays fields as although it makes a fine more tender stand out here anyway it takes more H2O than we receive normally I put 20-25 lbs hay barley with 4-5 lbs alpha and 2-3 lbs crested wheat grass this is for dry land and in a normal H20 year it produces 1.5-2.5 tons per acre which is on the high side for hay around here hope this helps it works for me, the more anual H20 the higher the seed rate is my vote tom
