Since the NH 570 went down as I was baling, I've been looking for a cheap backup machine. I also would like to have a roller for when I've got some less do than diserable hay to bale or trying to beat some rain. Found his bale about 3 and half hours away. Here's the craigslist ad:
Case 8420 round baler ( same as a Hesston) makes a 39"x52 bale, electric tie, has 4 brand new springs on it, new pick up belt, has baled 90 bales this year, I have owned it for 15 yrs , always shedded, greased , and maintained . A 35 horse tractor will run it , ready to bale, $4200 call or text show contact info
I know it's he same as a couple of the Hesston balers 530, 730, and he MF 1734. It's got the electric tie option. I've read some of he older post about the twine cutter not working the best, was this still a problem with the electric tie option? Anything else to worry about? I know it's a small roll, but I sell a lot of hay so that's a plus for me, and I've got a market for the small rolls. Any problem with towing it home that far? What abut the bolt pattern on the rim, would really like to take a couple of spares with me...
Oh, he's asking $4200. Baler looks good, always been shedded. Belts look good,. How do these balers do in finer/smaller grass hay, like 2nd and 3rd cutting??
