Case SC Live PTO?

How can I determine if an SC has a live pto without the serial number? I have located a foot-clutch, eagle hitch, dual hydraulics case SC near me and would like to know if it has a live PTO. I know that the pto engage lever is on the left side, underneath the seat. Also, the air cleaner and exhaust don't go through the hood.

it's live if lever under seat to unit on back also if live hyd will work with clutch depressed

yes with the lever for the pto under the seat it will be a "live' pto cnt

Some one may correct me if I am wrong but if I remember right once the SC switched to the foot clutch the PTO was live. I had an SC that had the hand clutch and it was one with the live PTO anf from what I remember it was the last year they made them with the hand clutch.

A Foot Clutch SC is a little Sweetheart!! Like my friends said, it has both Live PTO & Live Hyd's. Grab it!!

Did any of the last hand clutch SCs have live power?

yes ..if the lever is under the left side of the seat , she is a live poer

Live pto and hydraulics started with the '52 model year and was hand clutch on the LEFT side like the DC. Both these items were live on the hand clutch '52 DC as well.

If you look on the LH side of the engine mounting flange, where it bolts to the torque tube, you should find the tractor serial number. The SC's and DC's had the tractor number stamped on the flange.(at least many I've seen) Service books and parts books have the location shown.
