Case SC Rebuild

I want to overhaul the motor on my 48 SC this summer. I started looking for some parts and have not found much yet. Where is the best place for an overhaul kit. Checked here and V.B. and also checked the Case IH website and didn't come up with anything.

About 7 years ago I bought the parts for my SC at the Case IH dealer - not real cheap and you need to buy each piece individually.

There are no engine rebuild "kits" available, as far as I know. Restoration Supply used to list piston a sleeve sets in their catalog, but no longer list them. I'm beginning to think it may have been a misprint. Don Livingston ([email protected]) is the only source that I know of for "main" bearings. He sells reconditioned ones and will want yours on trade. CaseIH had individual pistons and sleeves a few years back, but may have stopped stocking them? Valves, rod bearings, wrist pins, and gaskets are widely available. You may want to ask John Saeli ([email protected])about pistons and sleeves.

I found a place that may have them. One question What size is the Motor in a 1948 SC
It is agkits.com

I believe it was 158 cubic inches in 1948. I looked on "agkits.com" and didn't see any engine rebuild kits for the Case "S" Series tractors.
