case SO tag location

I am buying a case SO as a basket case. I've asked the owner about the tag ID and SN. He can't find it and I'm not exactly sure where to tell him to look. Any ideas and information would be helpful.

The tag should be attached to the instrument panel lower right side. Numbers should also be stamped on left engine flange at transmission housing.

thanks, thats what I thought. Makes me wonder if tag is missing. It has the fender cowling but is missing the shroud that runs from the engine to the fenders. Anyone know where I might find the missing sheetmetal?
