My tractor club uses 1959 and older moldes to pull with. I am wanting to know if you can tell a difference in the apperance of a 700 case D and a 730 case D.

The 700B looks very similar to an early 730 yet have many differences. The most obvious from a distance is the black strip decal on the 30 Series vs the full length chrome hardware on a 700B. I'd say the most obvious mechanical difference would be the 700B had a rotary fuel pump with fuel filters scattered all over the engine. The 730 has an inline pump with the primary and secondary fuel filters right behind it and sitting side by side. A few cosmetic differences would be the wide or thick 3rd spoke on the steering wheel of a 30 Series and also the little (bulb) on the top of the air intake stack has a different shape to it. Many other differences as well but those are the most obvious.

The late 700s had the inline pump. The casting number on the blocks are different. I think the 700 had 1111 in the cast. It can be changed to look orginal if you are good at it. Put a 504 in and call it a 900 will be a lot nore fun.
