cat d5 96J - approx year and hp

Anyone know the approximate year and hp for a Cat D5 - Serial 96J -- cannot make out the rest of the serial number.

Didn't see just a D5 96J series listed but there was a D5 DD 96J series made in USA 1967-77, could have a 2 to 4 digit serial number, 105 engine hp with CAT D3306 engine. D5 PS 96J series made in USA 1967-77 also, with same 105 hp D3306 engine but would have a 5 digit serial number. Could be others that aren't listed in blue books?

The DD most likely means direct drive and not power shift. They aren't as common but were available. Dave

Thanks guys. My dozer is a powershift. If I cannot make out the rest of the serial number, is there any other way to determine what engine is in the dozer? I would like to find a service manual for the dozer. Thanks again.
