cattle bunching up

Two different times now, I've lost a calf that was suffocated when they all bunched up in the summer in the shade.

They could be plotting to overthrow your farm or they may have joined a cow cult and are planning mass suicide like happened in SouthPark ,Colorado years ago.

Sounds like happy and content herd. If it bothers you, bring in two or three strangers and the whole bunch will push,shove,hook,horn and beller until a new pecking order is established. Can't find any new cattle, shoot a couple out of the happy herd and notice how agitated they become for a few days.
