CAV i pump 240 MF

I bought a nice 240 that had caught on fire. The aulternator, fuel pump, and primary fuel filter were melted. The fuel tank for OK and the lines were fine.
After replacing everything I have no real pressure from the injector pump. There is good fuel flow into the pump, but only a drible out the bleeder valves.
Even tho the pump looks good is there anything I can do myself? I have a pump manual, but it doesn't trouble shoot problems.
Help!!!

Hi,

By bleeder valves, do you mean the little bleeding screws on the pump, or do you mean you only get a little drible out of the injector lines?

You will need a good stream of fuel from the bleeding screws before you can see if it is good or not.

The CAV pumps can be a real pain to get the air out of. But I agree with Jeff you may need to have the pump rebuilt. The heat may have damaged the seals in the pump.
