CC front ends

Ok, questions about CC front ends,

From what I have seen, a CC4 just uses a C front axle with a spacer block to lower the pivot point and lift the front of the tractor level. Is that correct? What about the wishbone? Is it also a C wishbone with a dropped bracket or is it a unique piece?

As I understand it you could buy a CC new with both front ends and swap them out for for different duties. I assume you'd just flip the pitman arm over and change the drag link when going from one front end to the other.

Does a DC4 use the same front end parts as a CC4?

I have a CC and would like to re-configure it as a CC4 if I could find the parts.

Hope this helps you a little. The CC4 drag link is shorter that a CC s. yes , just turn the steering wheel until the arm is in the "down" position, IIRC. I think that the frt. spindels are different on a CC4 than a C. Where the wheel brgs. are located is in a different spot to raise the CC4 frt. end. If this info is all wrong, I stand corrected , as Dad sold his CC4/CC in 1951.Forgetfullness does set in!clint

Thats correct. The spindles are different from a cc-4 vs a c front end. The wish bone and bearings are the same and they added a spacer as stated above. If I was close to the CC-4 front end I'd post a picture.
