Cheap Replacement Carburetors

Are there any drawbacks of using a cheap Amazon/ebay carberator as apposed to an OEM for several hundred? I have a Zenith and an IH carberator I have tried to rebuild to no avail, but the tractor still refuses to run properly. I tried a cheap Amazon carberator (<$30) and it seems to be working fine. I know it’s sacrilegious to place some sort of china made junk on such an old American made tractor. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions or advice on if there’s a better alternative

What tractor? We have used $30-35 Amazon carbs on Cubs,A,B,C ,super A.....with great results. But .....we make sure everything else is right on the tractor,too. 90% of "carb issues" , ain't carb issues. The carb is a small part of a great running tractor. What issues are you having?

1952 Cub was spitting and sputtering. Intermittently would die and only run on full choke. Was also very weak with the pto running. New carb and she seems to run good as new. I also have a 1952 Super AV I need a new carb for (severe water damage) and was thinking about going with a cheap replacement unit.

The Cub has so few hp that every little thing affects it. Timing, valves,tune up parts..... We have used this Amazon carb on A ,B ,C ,super A. Works great,if your tractor is properly tuned

It's not sacrolegious until you throw the old one away. lol
