to anyone that who knows. would a flathead chry inline (8) work in a open class massey? or is it not worth working with?. thanks for any advice.

I have been looking at a down under chrysler six cylinder . the thing with the flat head 8 is some have a rule on engine length . the aussie six cylinder is the same length as the industrial flat head six.

I have two tractors with straight 8 chryslers. I was going to put a 8 in my 101 but no where to pull it. I did the measuring and it would fit. The 8 doesnt have near the rpms as a 6. The torque and hp on a 265 and 323 are not far apart. Plus its hard to find parts for the 8.
