cinder bed

I was wondering if a cinder bed off fo a state snow plow truck would work for spreading lime, I would mount it on a old truck frame and run the hydraulics off the tractor remotes or put a selfcontained hydraulic unit on and run it off the pto, any ideas welcomed thanks

I know a guy that used one for years to spread lime. I drove it for him for about a year.

Neighbor used one to make a spreader on a trailer. They spread lime and chicken manure with it. Kind of on the large side, You need some reach to load it or a ramp.

Should work fine, just remember you will only have one fan so it won t spread as wide, but if your like me cheap is better than time spent.
