CKAP/SRAP Antique Tractor Pull

CKAP/SRAP will be hosting an antique tractor pull Saturday August 24, 2013, place is Robert Yount farm 5541 Bethlehem Rd (Highway 22) Pleasureville, Ky 40057 1 1/2 miles east of Bethlehem Ky. Start time is 2:00 pm. Fee admission, concessions on grounds. Pulling order will be as follows: 3 & 5 mph

That class pulling order can require a light tractor pulling heavy to have to remove and add weights quite a bit. What is you logic behind it?

Yes...this club has tried this before and I believe it is hurting it's numbers. Start light or start heavy and keep it the same!

The reasons for this order of pulling are: We have a pretty good crowd of people watching the pull and they get to see almost every tractor hook in the first four classes, instead of seeing the same 7 or 8 tractors hook for 3 hours. Pullers that have multiple tractors have more time to reweight for the next class (no waiting). Our numbers have been very good when we have done this in the past, but we have some members that like to complain and not show up at these pulls. Heavy pullers are always late getting home this lets them get to pull while their are a few people watching. In the past when the order was run heavy to light the light pullers did not show up. If you want to complain about the order put your name on here for everyone to see and then come the pull and see how well it works!

I haven't been able to pull with you all for the last two years because of a accident I was in. However, I think the idea is great to mix up the pulling order. The ones who complain that it is silly obviously have never been to multiple CKAP/SRAP pulls and had to wait 3-4 hours while watching the same guys hook 5-8 times before they get to hook one time, then have to drive an hour or more home.

yep bouncer i would be one of the guys hooking 5-8 times before you sorry but most antique pulls the majority of hooks come from 4000-5500 pound classe. but o well no big deal. hope the pull goes well. ckap is a great bunch of guys to pull with. sure have missed pulling with them this year. hope to pull the last one of the year if our tractor is ready!!!
