i am trying to put a late A clutch in a early A do i need to change the belt pully also

not the entire pulley, if I remember corectly you'll need to change pulley gear and first reduction gear. or use later pulley with gear that is on it and also change first reduction gear. Someone correct me if I'm wrong-it's been awhile and I've switched them back and forth so many times I forget what I've known. lol.

It doesn't give you an advantage. It slows the tractor down.

I think you can use your pulley and put whichever set of gears you want either your set of faster clutch and reductoin gears or the later slower ones but you do have to use the later adjusting bolts because they are longer for the extra discs
