I have a cockshutt 1355 and I have some questions about it. I was hoping someone on here could help me out. They seem to be rare and I can't find anyone with answers. Thanks.

i am in maine. on top of the transmission where you sit there is a small lever that moves side to side. it engages and disengages the pto. it grinds unbearably when you enagage or disengage the pto. i have tried using the clutch when i do it but it makes no difference. i was wondering what i could do to rememdy that. and also can someone explain how the ingnition works? im not sure if this is factory or not but it has a key that you turn 2 clicks and then you turn a kind of toggle switch to start it. it only works about half the time. any info woould be a huge help. thanks.
