Cockshutt 1650

We just picked up this 65 cockshutt 1650 and I am really quite happy with it. Today went over most of the electrical and all the lights work. Was wondering if anyone knows what the wires coming out of the transmission under the seat are for. I'm assuming a neutral safety switch. But I'm not sure. She runs like a top and was treated quite well at the last farm it was at. Also any information on these tractors would be great to know. Fluids and 3 point info specifically. I'll leave some pictures of it here let me know what you think.

So these wires are not connected to anything. Will it cause issues when working implements if it stays disconnected? Also did they have issues with that system typically?

Not sure if they are even still there. If they are it's not hooked up. Will definitely crank over while in gear. I would really like to learn more about the hydra-lectric system.

"Will it cause issues when working implements if it stays disconnected?"

It has no effect at all on the operation of the hydraulic system. It only activated magnets in a special cylinder.

Ok I get it now. I miss understood how the system worked. Did some more research last night. Looks like it was pretty advanced for its time.

Definitely, especially when you consider that it dates back to the 40s with the Oliver Fleetline tractors.
