Cockshutt 30 distributor

The rotor has play in the distributor and I think I should replace the bearings. I have a intermittent miss at idle. Is there anything special I need to look for when doing this? It is a prestolite.

Phil will probably pipe in here and I hope he does, but here's what I"m going through:
I've actually got two Cockshutt 30 distributors apart right now. Mine are both Autolite. I've been told that Prestolite and Autolite are they same. Are they? If so, there's a little horseshoe clip in there that needs to be taken out to remove the rotor shaft from the distributor shaft. One of mine as a bunch of play in that area, but the bushings in the distributor housing are good. Also check the springs. Both distributors of mine have missing or broken advance springs. Anybody got a genuine source for these?
Mine will have to be lubed with a thin grease as the advance mechanisms were both froze solid before I finally got them to move free. These distributors may test your patience.

I tried him a few days ago and he has no Autolite springs. Once again, I guess it all depends if Autolite and Prestolite are the same.

I presumed that Prestolite succeded Autolite,
but someone here may find me wrong. Prestolite
did take over WICO magneto.
