i have a cockshutt 35 deluxe i inhearted from my great grampa it needs a lot of engine work done it has a hercule go 138 engine im have hard time finding parts i need a new block i would like 2 see her run again thanks

i need a new block for one mine is cracked and two it worn reallely bad when grampa was bad he started to run used oil in it and tore the the sleves out

That should be a GO 198 Hercules engine.

You should check the serial # it might be a Golden Arrow,stranger things have happened.

no it is a cockshutt 35 deluxe my grandpa bought new in 1948 i do beleve in carson city michigan my dad was 12 years old and he drove it back to the saw mill the tractor ran a buzz saw as long as i can remeber till about 5 years ago since then ive been trying to find a block

Sounds like there might be some confusion as to just what you have- the 35 didn't come out until 1956. Look on top edge of the "tub", on both sides, for serial number and tell us what you find.

I have a GO 198- it was on a well drilling rig, and the guy estimates it had well over 20,000 hours on it. Still ran fine when he replaced it, but of course, was using some oil. I'm in western Washington, so probably too far away for you.

sorry about that my farmall is a 48 the cockshutt is a 58 and the block is cracked or if u want to say broke between the 1st and 2nd piston there is actually a peace missing dont know where it is i asume that when my grampa took it apart he removed it he never did anything with the tractor after that it sat in his garage till i got it

Your GO198 Hercules in the 35 Del was also used in the Cockshutt 550 and golden Arrow. They can also be found in some pump, genrators, and welders. They also made a DD198 deisel. Parts are not real pleantiful and tend to be quite expencive for the gas but diesel are a little easier to get. I have quite a few used parts and a few new ones also. contact me if you like and lets see what you need and what I have. Irv
