My buddy across the street just got and 50 diesel. He changed the oil and drained the fuel and put fresh diesel in it. Starter soliend is out of it so I went to pull start it in 6th gear and the motor would not budge. The motor was loose and I asked him if he gave some throttle and he said yes. So I am thinking the cyl are full of fuel. Was is the best way to get that fuel out of there? Is there a decompression lever some where or can I loosen an line? I told him to get a repair manuel. Thanks in advance

Not a smart move! I hope you did not bend any rods! Also has this tractor set? What about the plunger in the injection pump? $800.00+ if you broke it! No there is no decompression device. Pull all the energy cells first. Always try to turn them over 2 full turns with a socket & break-over bar first!

Yes the tractor has set for at least 4 yrs. I have a couple deeres, oliver and an allis gas so I dont know about the energy cells, plunger. How can I release the fuel out of the cyls. Tractor turned over with the battery, but pulled started it and he gave it fuel and know they are flooded. Energy cells, are they the ones with the cap that you unscrew and there is a little screw inside?

I don't think you flooded it. When you pull it the engine turning over should blow the fuel out. If it turned over with the starter did the engine puff any smoke? If you put the tractor in gear, push the clutch petal down and try to pul it does do the rear wheels turn over?

Yes tires turn in gear with clutch in, no did not blow any fuel out. And when he turned it over with the starter no smoke just some straw and other stuff blew out. Thanks for the repley
