We live in oklahoma and there is a lot of oliver lovers here and we are rebuilding them at hte School in McLoud Oklahoma FFA class. I have been doing alot of looking for a project tractor for my Senior year "this year". I would really like to fine a Cockshutt tractor that could be restoren and used for pulling. I have looked up the back ground for the tractor and that the oliver companey had bought them. We do not have this type of tractor in these parts and I would like to do something different. I have the means to pick up a tractor in other states by trailer. If anyone knows where one would be for sale with in reasion of oklahoma and of good price please feel free to email. Your help would be great. Thanks Kyle

Kyle, if you haven"t checked out www.cockshutt.com you should. It"s the site for Cockshutt colletors and has some good information. You"re more likely to find a Cockshutt to restore in the north central or eastern states because the company was located in Ontario. They"re pretty rare outside of that area.

Try looking down the forum to the Oliver Cockshutt forum. These guys have a wealth of knowledge and connections. Try to find a Cockshutt model 40 if you are going to pull. They have an extremely strong drivetrain and that Buda 6 cylinder runs strong and sounds great. I have one and love it. Good luck!!!

I've got a Cockshutt 40 diesel in the shop right now
stay away from the diesels unless you have deep
pockets, Also have a 30 that I pull with, usually
ends up in the top 3. Not much difference between
a 40 and a 50. All Cockshutts are good pullers
