I want apologize to you fellows of the Northern persuasion for making fun of Yall living in that cold. News says it's going down to 18 tomorrow night. Last time it was that cold around here My log chains crawled up under the porch to try and stay warm.

That"s Tshirt weather. Thermometer says -38F. Usually drops a few more before sun rise. Location central Saskatchewan Canada. Must be a chinook coming by the weekend as the weather office is forcasting to rise to around the freezing point by the weekend. One good thing about the cold there"s no mosquito"s or black flies to be bothered by. There"s an old saying "the coldest hour is always just before the dawn". I have found from personal experience that saying is true!

Supposed to get cold here in Dallas this eve. Windchill for tomorrow am is in the teens. While that may not be cold for ya'll, to central Tx, its cold.

Yes it is getting a bit chilly , but look at it this way it is going to warm back up . One ting about this cold snap it is keeping people in doors and not many out running around . May also cause and upswing in population in say 9 months.

A buddy of mine had to go to Calgary on business this week. He told me at dinner Saturday evening they were forecasting -43.

Yes they are perdicting our coldest snap of this winter by Friday AM. 25°
Went out yesterday and checked my light in the pump house to make sure it is working. May have to let my water drip over night for the first time this year.

Will be short lived though. Back to highs around 65° for next week.

41degres @ juneau alaska. 15degres here in oh an snowing from east. Going to be a interesting milk run with semi today!

Does anyone know what the temps are on the other side of the globe? Sometimes when it is so cold here, it is warmer than usual over there.

What you say is also true in SW Manitoba this morning, and also for most of the last 30 days. Schools are closed today, the oil rigs will still be drilling though.

I read a report from Australia last night that in their "Outback" the temps are 112 - 114F. That sure would melt some of our snow.

One nice thing about our weather, it keeps the riff-raff out!

Wind chills of -50 on Friday morning....maybe I should think about closing the zipper on my jacket???
