How about Rostselmash, the current owner of the Versatile tractor line?

Claas is a big name combine in Europe & is just emerging over here in the states under it's own brand. Was sold under the CAT logo, now Challenger. Wintersteiger is another combine company from Europe & they specialize in seed plot combines large & small.

The Claas combine is still sold as a CAT combine not a Challenger. The Challenger line are yellow painted Gleaners and MF's. They are completely seperate lines and companies that both happen to be sold at the same dealer. The CAT is still built and designed by Claas. The Challenger, Gleaner, and MF are all AGCO designed.

Nope, didn't know that. I still learn something new every day & that's always a good thing. I'm also glad to hear CAT still has something to do with agriculture as it is in there heritage. Does Gleaner still produce a good machine?

Thanks,
Mike

If I showed up with something like that in my fields my neighbors would think I totally lost my mind. Here in so. Mn. If you don't drive a JD or Case you are not anything. They already think I'm half crazy because I bought a McCormick tractor. But I like it and it works great for me.

whats wrong with a Mc Cormick ?they are based on the Case Maxxum. MF has a good rotary that is very simple but around here there is a lack of dealers which hurts resale and chasing parts is no fun. The biggest Gleaner is actually a Massey combine. A Case af would be my first choice

(quoted from post at 19:39:42 08/08/10) I know of no MFs which are Gleaners ! ! !

However the A85 Gleaner IS a MF.

No the A series is actually Olivier/White combines painted as Gleaner, MF, or challenger machines.
